I wondered if there is anyone out there who has had surgery of their pancreas. The first few years I was able to keep my blood surgars down but now am having trouble. I continue to increase insulin at night (Lantus) and Humulog with meals. It works for a day or two but then I just go back to higher readings. Any ideas?

Hi I agree with Harlen go see your doctor. i am insulin resistance also i take metformin, and 24 units of lantus. I do know working out does help with insulin resistance. and sweets are not good for you, when you are trying to keep your bs in control.

I do work out often but lately I haven't been able because I broke my foot. I have a hard time staying away from the sweets especially this time of the year. My doctor wants me to be on a 1500 calorie diet but I am always hungry and it doesn't seem I gain any weight. I tried the medicines for insulin resistance but most of them make me sick especially glucophage.
