Interesting clinical trial

We learned recently about a diabetes clinical trial going on through Penn State Hershey Institute. I thought there might be people here interested and qualified to participate. Here's the information they sent to us:

Penn State Hershey Institute for Diabetes and Obesity researchers are seeking volunteers for a Web-based research study. This study, which can be completed from your home computer, involves working through an Internet program to improve your knowledge and self-management of diabetes, and to learn from the experiences of others.

You may be eligible to participate if you:
• are age 18 – 75
• have diabetes
• speak English
• have Internet access

This research study has been approved by the Institutional Review Board, under federal regulations, at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, Penn State College of Medicine.

There is nothing other than your name you really have to share, it's more a learning tool.

However, I would caution people about it because a lot of the information could potentially cause people problems. Like their claim that normal blood sugar can be between 130 and 180 all the time and that I should be eating well over 300g of carb a day. Do the learning modules but don't take any of the information as gospel and right for you without checking the accuracy of it elsewhere.
