Hey everyone
I just wanted to update you on my experiences with jury duty. I did not get excused because of my bouts of morning low blood sugars. I was told that if I got picked and served on the jury panel to request a recess every two hours. I did not get picked, at least not yet. I am not finished until Friday. I also have a horrendous head cold and even that was not good enough to let me miss going in for jury duty. I was so sick with it Monday when I went, that I didn't even notice I put my shirt on inside out and wore it that way all day. I spent most of my time in the bathroom blowing my nose and coughing. It was a miserable day. I survived, but I hope I didn't pass anything on to anyone else there. My advice to anyone who gets called, take plenty of snacks, and make sure the judge is aware of your condition.

Thanks everyone, I am feeling better. Jury duty is over as of today. I hope I don't get called again anytime soon:} I tried to go in with a good attitude about having to do it, but it didn't last. It seems like I get more and more disappointed with society everyday. So many people were so disrespectful to the judge, they didn't even answer his question with yes sir or no sir. One potential jury next to me even fell asleep during our questioning! The bailiff had to come and wake him up. Anyway, good luck to anyone who has to do this.

Sally:

I'm proud of you! So many people try to get out of jury duty and despite your diabetes and your illness, you tried to do your civic duty! We need more like you! Good work!

Thanks for the information, I wondered what could be done for us in this situation. I hope your starting to feel better, and hope you got your snacks and water too. Keep us informed on how it goes the rest of the week.

Wow, I always was interested in this to be honest but was not diabetic then, now I am and would be nervous. I just wish you best and safe journey through this doll! Hugs! Sheila
