Folks; Sorry folks my title suppose to be "Diet for diabetes" I couldn't edit it.
There are many food out there in the market for diabetes, have any of you folks tried any in the market and if so, which one works? & How about Splanda to substitute for sugar I always use it for coffee, tea and making dessert, I wonder if you folks us it, if so does it help to keep the sugar count in control?
Also have any you folks have other suggestions or ideas how to keep this monster from going out of control ? beside exercise and cretin diet.

Folks: Thank you all for your input. We should in my opinion to keep offering feed backs , different ideas and suggestions for folks with type one and two, I believe the more educated we are in this topic the better we understand this silent disease and try our best to keep it under the thumb.
Please keep the feed back and add new ones.

i like splenda but kinda high for me most of the time i just do without and use a nutra sweet offbrand for my tee not as bitter as sweet-n-low. I have tried the stevia it is good in tea not sure about cooking withit though. I am having a hard time leaving bread. I guess i'm just a bread-a-holic, barring that i would have better luck keeping things right. Walking has been the most significant exercise for me even though it is hard for me to do now. without it my sugars start going up. not drastically but by all means find a way to keeep going.
best wishes

try stevia (marketed at supermarkets as truvia) omg so much better in coffee than splenda. Splenda is best for baking though. I like the glucerna morning shakes for better control. I like the new sobe life water 0 too… I miss juice… I swear I really do… why cant they make something that tastes like juice? lol…

I like slpenda, I use it in my coffe and tea. I use to use equal but it has aspertine in it so I quit. As it has been said watch your carb intake. Dan

I use the splenda baking sugar for the holiday baking for the very first time. I made a home made poundcake and my family ate it all up from me. now that's funny!!!! I also use equal daily in the morning cup of coffee, but I only have 1 cup and I also cut the size of the mug down too. Cant win!!

I do use splenda and think is the best by far and it does seem to help with the sugar.Anything else just watch your carbs.
