I have so much to be thankful for. My doctor told me about 6 weeks ago that I needed to get my blood sugars down or go on insulin. I was determined not to do insulin yet so did a food journal, took my medication faithfully and kept good tabs on my blood sugar levels. It wasn't always fun but it became sort of a fun challenge and in 6 weeks I lowered it from 9.4 to 5.9. I vow to continue to take care of my health and urge all of us to do the same. Thanks for being here. Most people wouldn't understand that if they weren't diabetic.

Way to go!!! I am so happy for you. I think you are right, most people who are not diabetic or related to one may not understand. This is really awesome and inspiring. Thank you for sharing.

Tia - congratulations on your success — what an inspiration! I have to do A1C next week and I know I'll get chewed out the following week at the diabetes specialist visit! Keep up the great work. Kathy
