Using the Glycemic Index

Has anyone had experience using the Glycemic Index in planning their meals and so forth? If so could you post your experiences good or bad? I am interested in learning more.

I tried it at my sister's urging. While I lost weight and my blood glucose stabilized more quickly, I found that it was difficult for me to maintain due to my work schedule and the fact that I live in a remote rural community that seldom has a varied selection of fruits and veggies at the local market. I have to make a 220 mile round trip to get to a "Supermarket" type grocery store where I can get fresh foods.

All in all though, it worked well for me as long as I maintained the diet.

yes , we are following low GI diet.Very easy and very healthy.If you need lose weight , don't worry this will help you very very much.My husband lost 30 lbs in 4 months.

hehe , we do not celebrate here however my hubby likes turkey very much and believe or not we have some in the refrigerator for tonite's dinner :) I will serve it with my famous sweet potatos yabadabaduuu :)
By the way , tomorrow is our religious holiday here for 4 days.It's nice to know we will be all celebrating at the same time.
