I was just diagnosed with Diabetes in July and I hoping to survive the holidays. I hope everyone has a healthy, happy and safe holiday season.

Welcome and good luck Mrs. Rebecca. Holidays are hard especially when you love sweets. Remember, you can have sweets as long as you adjust your intake of other foods that day…less carbs. If I want a piece of pie, I skip the other carbs in the meal (and day) completely. Also, there are some good recipes here for low sugar goodies.

Thank you for the wishes. My family and I will travel to Niagara Falls to be with my brother and his family. It is a long standing tradition, and one that we are not willing to break. Best wishes to everyone.

Hi Midget,
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving as well. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because I love to spend time with family and friends…not to mention the turkey. :)
