Woke up Sat. morning the lower part of my left leg including my ankle was very warm with fever and very swollen very painful to touch kind of feels like the skin has a burning itch but when I rub my hand over it hurts really bad. It has a deep redish color all the way down the shin and today the reddness moved into my ankle going to have it checked out.

My doctor checked it out. It turned out to be celluitis something very new to me, hadn't heard of it before. He gave me a shot and some antibiotics. The swelling has gone down, but the soreness is still very sore I'm use to dealing with Heart disease. Diabetes is a whole new adventure lot of things to learn.

It could be celluitis or a dozen things. The important thing todo is get it checked out by the pros. Get in asap. Good luck, and hang in there.

With all the complications we can have with diabetes it is very important to listen to our body. I'm glad you did and I hope you go see your physician sooner than later. It is IMPERATIVE to get it checked out. Take care and keep us posted.
