I'm having a hard time getting the needle to actually penetrate my tough skin. I'm glad the needles are so small for the pain factor but not so much if you have to stab at it two or three times to get it in.
Any ideas?

I have this problem too sometimes. I try to keep my skin moisturized as much as possible and that helps, and changing the site where you inject is probably most effective. It might not just be you skin that's tough though, if you have continuously injected in one area, scar tissue can build up underneath the skin and in your muscles making that area of your body "harder" than other places on your body. You can also try massaging the area that you are going to inject to relax your mucsles and skin a bit. Good luck!

Love and blessings,

Lii

The earlobes and eyeballs are usually tender spots. ONLY KIDDING. KD and Harlen gave some good advice. You have to rotate spots, and maybe have someone try on your back areas you can't reach. When I do my legs, I almost always inject on the meaty part on insides of leg. Maybe a week of long warm soaks in a tub will soften you up some. Good luck.

I inject in the back of my arm where it's kind of fatty.I always look for an
area that is kind of fatty like the inside of my thighs and stomach and my arms. Hope this helps. Dan

Since I am on the pump, I don't do the injections. I have an infusion set that attaches to the pump. However, I do have to rotate the areas where I insert them. I have to change them out every three days, so I just move from one side of the stomach to the other each time I change sites. I only weigh 110 lbs., but I still have some meaty areas, and it really is not painful at all.

Where are you injecting? Do you wipe the area with alcohol before you inject? That can make your skin tougher and dryer than it should be. You could also try moisturizing the areas you inject a few times a day and maybe look at injecting in a completeky different area.
