The international symbol for diabetes is the Blue Circle, which now appears at the top of this page in connection with World Diabetes Day.

A blue circle or grey ribbon w/ a blood droplet inside the ribbon.

I did some additional looking:
Grey or White – Gray with a red dot (to represent testing) where the ribbon crosses is the most common.
American Diabetes day in Nov. has chosen BLUE to be the ribbon color of choice.
Back to designing medical ID bracelets!!!!!
The most common color I found for diabetes awareness ribbons when I googled it was gray.
I believe it is blue. Blue is the world diabetes colors and last year they lit up buildings blue
