I agree with talking to your Dr. Mine work o.k., but when I see how many different ones I am on for all my ailments, I too have felt like giving up. I look at my family, and that keeps me going. Be strong and dont give up. You will find a solution.

Don't you dare give up or give in. Everything will work out just fine if anything call your doctor and explain how your feeling. And remember we are all in the same boat, we are on this site cause we look to each other for answers to our many questions. I was taught if you don't ask you won't know the answer. So don't be afraid to rant to ask questions or to make a phone call a voice your worries. It's only one you, and you were put on this earth for a good reason. To survive and live on!!!!!!!!!!!

Please don't give up. You're not alone..look around you here, we all have problems and it's work to deal with them some days. It's something no one can do for you, but you have to do it for yourself. Some days it's harder to think positively than other, but you have to tell yourself you're worth it!

Everyone gets discourged with this thing called diabeties. Learn to watch what you buy at the Grocery store…otherwese don't bring it into your house if it's bad for your diet. If you have family members to consider…they can benifit from your healthy diet. You and and the rest of us all have good days and bad days…learn to roll with the good days. I also find comfort in my Bible . I'm dealing with breast cascer right now…will meet with the surgeon on the 21st and see what's the next step…so hand in there…trust the Lord and try to keep positive people around as much as possible. florida9898@att.net small

Looks like you've been a member of this site for a while so, I'm assuming you've had type 2 for a while? Here in the midwest the Doctor isn't the person that works with the patient for diabetic care. Everything is done through a Nutrition and Diabetes Educator. If you are having problems there are many, many factors that could be contributing. The first thing they will ask you to do is to get an appointment book and write down what you do and eat everyday, along with your readings and meds you take. This will help them asses what's going on. If you are doing everything right then, you may be a person that metabolizes food at a different rate thus your peaks are different and you need a different med. It may be that you are low in vitamin D or B12; or maybe you are not eating enough protein; or maybe you have an illness your body is fighting off; or something else.

Be truthful and open with them and they will help you out. Don't be afraid to go to a different clinic if this one isn't working for you! Also, tell them what your goals are, it does help them create a follow-up plan and to help you meet your goals (if they are reasonable).

Please don't give up. It helped me when I faced that I have diabetes and became proactive. I now right down my bs and keep a journal of everything that I put in my mouth. Holding myself accountable has worked wonders. Please hang in there.

Dont give up.
I too was there at one time,
My meds were not working for me.
I think one of the reasons they werent working for me is because I no longer was taking them correctly.
Doctors were not listneing to me.
I did give up and was not under a doctors are for years.
Dont want to think about the damadge I did to my body.
Go back to your doctor.
Share your concerns.
if that doesnt work, find a new doctor.
What are your currently on? Pills? Insulin?
how is your diet?
Are you getting enough exersise?
Keep us posted, but please, dont give up.

Every body feels that way at some time when they are dealing with diabetes. It is all a big balancing act. Sometimes everything comes together and works in perfect harmony, and some times it doesn't. Medication is not the only thing that helps control our blood glucose levels. You also have to calculate in food and exercise. If you feel that you are doing everything correctly, you might want to speak to your doctor about changing your medicine's.

Call your doctor ASAP. Explain the situation and insist that you see your doctor and take another person with you that can listen and help you out. Write down everything and then post it at home. Good luck and let us know how you are making out. Do not give up hope.

Why don't you let us know which meds you are using and the effects you are having? There's a wealth of knowledge here that have probably experienced the same thing!
