Does anyone know the reason why exercising when your sugar is high it can make it go even higher ?? I was told this by a diabetic counselor a few years ago but I cant remember the reason why. I do find it to be true. Has anyone else ever noticed this happening to them??

Every time I walked on my treadmill I notice that my sugar level went up… I also wonder why this happen…because I thought my sugar was going to go down once I walk on the treadmill…instead of it going down…it went up…

I definitely notice if my sugar s about 200 or so and I exercise it will go up. If I start at a good level then it will go
down. Any more input would be appreciated .
Thanks dyanne

When you exercise you force the excess glucose that is stored in your muscles to enter your blood stream.
