Hi All,

Just wanted to know if anyone has tried the Glucerna bars or shakes??? I have seen them at the pharmacy and wonder if they are any good. Thanks and have a FANTASTIC and RELAXING July 4th Weekend!

I have been wondering about the shakes too. I need to lose a few pounds and thought I'd give them a try to kick start my weight loss.

Glucerna and other "diabetic" shakes and bars are OK for emergencies like when you forget your lunch and have to eat something or you need a snack. They taste OK, but of course they contain artificial sweeteners. So depending on how you feel about them Glucerna can be good or bad. Wow that's a positive maybe! (chuckle chuckle). You ought not live on them to lose weight though, because you need the interactions of a variety of natural foods to achieve control. Hope this helps.PS they are expensive too.

I bought a supply of the shakes. It was very tasty, but It was a no go for me. I do not know exactly what it was but I got instant diarreha. Every time I use it. The bars were okay.

The Walgreens near me had the shakes on sale last week, and I agree that they are tasty, but both the bars and the shakes gave me the same problem too. I also noticed that contrary to the claims on the box, they did not really curb my hunger nor did they keep my glucose steady.

I think that I am going to skip the Glucerna and just add Stevia to my diet instead thanks for all the responses everyone…I appreciate it.

Enjoy your weekend!
