Yesterday the 24th was my birthday and I got my A1C back which came in at 5.7% !

My fasting and averages have been between 115-130 pretty consistently but I've been adding back different foods into my diet over the past 3 months too.

Which explains why my tricglycerides and overall cholesterol went up a bit. Got those numbers first and wasn't sure what to think.

My wife also got me a German Shepherd Puppy for my birthday which we named Gabe. All in all a very good day!

and cheesecake for Saturday!

Thank you all, I'm very appreciative of the support on the forum and happy to be part of it.

The things I've learned on the forums have all helped me to be able to find my way in dealing with D, I could not have done it any other way.

Thank You

that is a very normal range for a diabetic ,i stay at 6.2 only once have ever been higher and that was from using cough syrup for a really bad cold..good job on your blood sugar

that is great, I don't understand how you were able to do that. My last A1C was 14, Dr. said tryclides? were at
800. I hardly eat anything, maybe one
meal a day and juice for breakfeast. I cant seem to get numbers down.

that might be where the problems at, you HAVE to eat, you can't skip any meals and juice is really high in carbs, which means its high in sugar.

I agree. From what I understand you have to eat the same amount of carbs per meal at the same time of day to keep your BS levels consistent in your body throughout the day. It is hard to eat at the same time everyday.

Wow, that's awesome. Happy belated birthday as well.

I'm currently awaiting the result of my latest A1c from Wed. My numbers are usually 170s fasting in the a.m., so a bit worried.

Great job! Be proud of yourself!
