getting control

i have been on onglya since i was diagnosed on 0909 5mg but no matter wat i eat i cant seem to get mine down i am following the diet its been a very stressful week so not sure if thats it im not exerciseing alot but but i have been trying to at least do a little more than im used to i get about 4 to 5 hrs of sleep at a time. that may be another reason im not sure if im grabbing at straws or its a combination of all the above. how do u change any of it i have insomnia i live with stress not sure wat else to do HELP.

they put me on pils an they didnt work for me an they put me on insulin an my numbers started going down an now it stays below 160 an only have to take 1 shot a day, but what you put in your mouth is a big factor. since now they put sugar in almost everything for taste so you have to look real hard at what you eat…i stay with turkey or chicken as much as i can for control…

i talked to my dr and they put me on starlix 3x aday along with my other pill hopefully it will work.

Hi, Mary I don't want to jump to conclusions because maybe u don't do any of the following> but if you are drinking things with caffeine in them that might keep u up at night. If you are taking a nap during the day that might keep u up at night. If you could force yourself to go for a walk during the day that might help u sleep better at night. Just trying to help but I get depressed and can't sleep sometimes too. I get alot more sleep when my bs is down to 112.

thank you it may be the coffee but its not so much the slp its the high blood sugars being high even though im following the diet does it take time for this or is there supposed to be immediate results.

I think it does take time to get it regulated but until it is your Dr. should be seeing you every couple weeks to check and maybe giving u higher dose or different meds if you are not getting better. Maybe he could even give u something for anxiety to help with your stress. I know anytime I get really upset my bs goes way up!
