check out the list of low glycemic foods. Also, linking protein, fiber, fat and carbs help because the fat, fiber and protein slow down the absorption of the carbs into your blood

I am also struggling with carbs. They are my most serious obsticle to good bs an a1c numbers. I understand your difficulty. Being active and out of the house helps me. When I am on DC, I don't eat. When I watch TV,I do eat the wrong foods, mostly carbs. Wish you the best. You are not alone in this. Pete

Keep in mind that sodiumis used in large amounts in processed and prepared foods so if you are trying to lower your salt intake one of the first things to do is start with fresh or raw food and prepare it with no or very little sodium. It takes awhile to adjust your tastebuds but I make many things now where I either don't put in any salt or considerably less than a recipe calls for: if a recipe calls for one teaspoon I might use none or 1/4 or 1/2 teaspoon instead. In place of salt I have used to learn a lot of other fresh herbs and peppers…MMMMmmmmm good!!!! Best wishes.

Have you recently checked out the recipe section of this site? There are many great recipes there and I am very sure some would fit the bill for you.

No salt popcorn ?
I eat a lot of meat and keep the carbs down I can not cut out all the carbs there in every thing
Theres a book called the calorie King that list all the foods and what there carbs are this helps me a lot to make the right choices
Hope this helps
