Hi Shelly

So sorry that Talker is still missing. Have you checked the local pound and another shelter that might be in your area? When we adopted Lucy and Ethyl, the twins, from a pound, we invested in an "invisible fence" around the perimeter of the house (especially the fence and doors) so they could share the doggy door with the black Lab. He got a collar too. None of the animals cross the barrier of the fence, and all wear the collars to protect them. We don't worry about their safety. One lost cat years ago was enough. Invisible fence is franchised all over the nation, is found on the web. I saw a similar product at Petco a year or so ago. But that we would have had to install, and we would also need to remember to buy and change batteries. The Invisible Fence franchise we use automatically bills us each year and sends new batteries every 3 or 4 months for all 3 of the animals. Animal protection for us dummies! I hope to hear good news about Talker soon. Hugs

One of our cats went missing for 2 days in the pouring rain. We were so worried. I went walking down the street trying to find her but couldn't so I came back home and left the screen door open hopeing she would come back. About 2 hours later she came flying in the house straight down the stairs to where my husband was sitting right into his lap. Don't worry cats always seem to find their way home. If you didn't move to far from where you lived before your cat may have went back there. Good Luck

Don't give up hope. This is a true story 2 years ago my girl Blackie went missing for two and a half weeks. We went nuts trying to find her. We cried a lot. After a week of no luck we went back to the humane society to find another cat to keep our boy Bubba from getting lonely. Blackie and Bubba were litter mates and had never been apart before. A week and a half later we brought Toby home with us. And wouldn't you believe it, 5 and 1/2 hours later after we brought Toby home, My girl Blackie came home. Early my ex-roommate came home and said he has seen a black cat outside. So I went outside and called her for a while, a little bit later when I was in the living room with Toby when all the sudden I heard her meowing at the front door. Opened the door and in she ran straight to the bedroom where my husband was sleeping. He was her human, the one she always wanted to be by. We came to find out she had been living in a neighbors garage the whole time and she didn't know where she was. Like I said early don't give up hope Talker my suprize you yet.

We had our rescue cat take off on us a couple years ago. My husband and I both sat and cried. We have never seen it since. I have never given up though cause of news articles like the one last night where I cat was reunited with its people after a 180 mile sea journey and some 2000 land miles.

I know how you feel . Last week my cat Toby got loose and was missing for over a day. Luckily he was found, he has a microchip in him. It was still very upsetting my husband and I were worried. I am praying that Talker finds his way home to you and Freeloader real soon.

Interesting you post that. Our cat Tigger got out on Sunday lunchtime. Since he's never really been outside and we just moved we feared that we would never see him again. About 6:00pm yesterday my wife heard a meow outside the back door and a very tired, a little bit dirty, hungry and thirsty Tigger was standing there. He looked like he was about to keel over and die but after some water, food and sleep he bounced right back.

Hopefully your cat will come back. I know how tough it can be and how it does make controlling blood sugars hard.
