Have you tried bio-identicals? I have read and heard so much about it in books, and on t.v. When I am older, this is what I am going to try. I am 44, so not there yet, but I know I have been perimenopausal for a few years at least. No problems so far. This is interesting though. I hope you find a solution soon!

I have only been diagnosed with Type 2 since March. I notice a difference when I get stressed or nervous. I have major hot flashes one right after the other and my readings go high for me. The highest I have been is 156 which isn't high for some but I can feel the difference in the way my body feels. I have been going through menopause for almost 12yrs. I did the hrt and could not handle it, my face, hands, and feet stayed swollen. My doctor put me on the lowest blood pressure meds for the hot flashes but that doesn't seem to help. Staying cool, calm and collected is what I have been trying. Some days it works some days it doesn't …LOL LOL
