Has anyone had any luck on Weight Watchers with the new point system they started this year in January? I did very well last year before they changed it, but this year, I couldn't get my glucose below 120. It seems like they cut way back on fat and encourage you to eat the point free foods that are high in carbs.

Although many have used Weight watchers successfully to lose weight, it may not be the best "diet" for anyone with diabetes. If you go low carb, you should both lose weight and be better able to control your blood sugars. How low must you go?…that depends upon you, your metabolism, age, gender, activity level. Determine how many carb grams you are currently consuming per day and cut back until you achieve the weight and BG goals you want. For me, low carb has become a way of life/way of eating. I started it about 15 years ago (Dx'd in 1976) and have vastly improved my BG's while maintaining an ideal weight.

certainly doesn't sound like a "plan" that would benefit a diabetic.
