I am just over 2months out from surgery and feel really good. For the most part, I think I'm fully recovered now, though I haven't received the "all clear" from the plastic surgeon yet. I'm ready to get back in the gym, just waiting for a new sign up special. Lol. I'm still only down 20 lbs, but it has made a real difference in my life, I'm happier, more confident, more energetic. I even feel more feminine because of my new shape. My legs and feet are not swelling as much and my back doesn't hurt! An added bonus is that my blood glucose numbers are slowly changing also. I'm consistently seeing 94 in the morning. I was beginning to think my meter was broken, but just now I got an 86. In a few weeks, I'll be having my quarterly labwork and if the A1c comes back at 5.3 again (or less!), I will give it a try without diabetes meds (scary, for me). I didn't think that would ever happen for me. If it doesn't work, well at least I tried. I hope to see some small improvement in my kidney function also, maybe a bump up closer to or over 60? That would be nice. I need to concentrate on staying hydrated. It's been very hot (as usual) this summer and still at least a month of high temps to go.
