I am sorry I havent been on here in awhile life gets Crazy lol My numbers are still out of whack I am trying to get better it is hard for me cause i am always taking care of everyone else. This morning it was 161 had my coffee and it was 168 now eating my cheerios and will see how that does
i have noticed it gets worse as the day goes on but i am having issues with my state of mind i am trying to just keep myself moving and get back to exercising everyday lol cant house work count lol
I have some questions
How many carbs per meal and snack do you eat?
Do you have snacks?
From what i have read i should tr to eat every 2 -3 hours i am trying but find that isnt always best i am a really snacker i like to have something to much on all the time..suggestions (its usually nuts)
I also was trying to quit smoking i went a week and a half before i caved it isnt the nicotine it is the stress habit i figure one thing at a time right now

any advice is appreciated i need all the help i can get

hi just give this a try and see what happens I do this everynight I write down everything that I eat for supper and if I eat any snacks I also write this down and I write down everything that I eat though out the day and most of the time my sugar stays anywhere between 88 and 110 and I feel real good I used to do this when I had to take care of my mother and her sugar came down and it stayed down and when she died she had her sugar was lower then what it should of been but then the doctor took everything away from her she wasn't on any medicane for her sugar she wasn't even on shots when she died she went into a coma like two weeks before she died and it was a bad time of year but my daughter and I got though it alright my daughter was only 12 years old but she had to take care of herself most of the time she was 12 and was doing things that an older child could do for there self she even went to the store and when for the food and she knew everything that she need to do I just hope that you try everything that I do and I don't eat anything after eight at night

Hi crazy,
You have gotten aot of good advise about
ways to eat. Now I want to tell you about
smoking, I smoked for a very long time.
I now suffer from EMPHYSEMA, Deminished LUNGS, AND COPD. jUST RECENTLY WAS RERLEASED FROM THE hospital, I spent 4 days in the ICU unit as I was having trouble breathing. So please try and quit it's not worth the problems it may cause. Dan

i actually eat 5 smaller meals a day with a few less carbs but you really need your dr cause your sugars read different than the 3 meal way but my a1c is always 6 to 7.2 usually when i cheat on my plan

Well the quitting smoking didnt last i just keep trying lol my numbers have been good but this morning they were high but i had alot of junk food before bed i am trying i htink i am doing better but will have to try a little harder to stay away from bad snacks

first of all jI'm type 1 diabetic and this is what I do I eat what ever I want I just stop eatting after eight o'clock at night and my sugar reading is most of the time down this everyday it is uselly 88 sometimes it is a little higher. I know it is hard to just eat one helping at times but if you watch things like potatoes and other starchey things you should get it down I have a book that tells me how much potatoes I can eat and I try not to eat more then what I'm to eat and the bread it is something else I uselly eat two but no butter for butter is made out of cream and I can't use butter at all I'm not to even drink milk because I'm lacktoasties.

Yes I am a type 2 and then numbers werent so bad yesterday i would be happy if i could keep them around 100 i am still trying to get the carbs right that is the hard part i am finding but i am trying to stay positive a just do one day at a time. I will post my numbers for today on here with my carbs and anyone that can offer advice i thank you
it is good to know i have somewhere to come and vent lol thru all this thank you all

May we assume you are Type 2? Smaller meals more often are better but not all of us do that. I myself eat 3 meals a day. Try to keep your carbs down. If you start off with 169 and eat more carbs, your numbers will go up. Fact of life. Dont let the downs get you down. It takes time for your meds to saturate your body and start to work effectively. give it some time. Let your meds do their job. Eat less carbs. See your doctor in case your meds need to be tweeked and changed. Good luck. DOnt get down. We all have high days and low days. Fact of life. There is always tomorow, What happened to day cannot be relived. Look forward to tommorow.

Hello crazy
I have 19 carbs in the morning
and a make a choice on big lunch or big diner one I will have 10 to 20 and the other will be 50 to 60 it gose up und down depending on what I am eating
but I keep it at 70 to 75 a day this way I drop just a little whate each month
hope this helps but you know we are all difrent

Try a small, low fat yogurt, a piece of string cheese, 10 almonds, a small piece of fruit. Good luck and having so much responsibility with a large family is tough but try to take time out for you every day. I use the Wii Fit and love it because I can do it in small spurts a few times a day.

Good morning,Crazy…I never heard of some one having to eat every 2 hours,unless you have special situations. What I did hear is 5-6 small meals.An example,8am,10 am,noon,3pm. 6pm and 10 pm. The theory is that this helps keep your bs constant with no excessive amount of food at one time.Talk to you Dr about it. Let me know what happens.Pete
