Hey Guys it's been a while. I had my 4 month annual visit yesterday (2/1/18), but my protein reading in my urine went from 0.02 to 2.1!!!!!! WTH? Nothing has changed except i did gain 10# during the Holidays AND I was put on a prescription inflammatory med (NSAID) for some problem w/my tendon in my wrist. Now no caffeine, no soda's more water and a block of urine tests in 6 weeks. If not good then a kidney ultrasound will be scheduled. Anyone here gone through something like this? Oh I'm on 1000 mg's 2x day Met, Crestor, Zetia, Benicar & Singular.

Here's a link to info about the effect of NSAID's on kidneys. I was prescribed meloxicam for plantar faciitis but have taken it very sparingly because I'm concerned about my kidney health after 41 years as a Type 1 diabetic. Hopefully, after the nsaid is flushed out of your body, your kidney function reverts back to normal.

Good news: my kidneys are back to normal! My A1c went from 6.2 to 5.8 in 6 months, BUT that is after I've been on Victoza 0.16/mg (?) every morning. My fasting BG has gone from 128-132 to 103-109! Loss 15#'s, too!
