My insurance decide this year not to cover any insulin's. I find this to be the most stupid thing I have heard. They will pay for Viagra but not life saving insulin. I have been searching for any kind of help but it seems most of the "help" comes with a cost too. Help!

If you cannot afford insulin, Walmart sells Humulin N and Humulin R without a prescription. These are the "old school" insulins (I still use the N) so adjustments would be necessary. The cost is quite low.

What kind of insurance do you have?…and can you make a case of medical necessity to appeal their denial of coverage? (The absurdity of their position reminds me of a Monty Python skit where you are covered until you have a claim.)
