Anyone else put in this position where Medicare changed suppliers for insulin pump supplies from Medtronic to Healthy living without any communication to anyone?

Medicare, in my experience, places many roadblocks in our attempt to manage our diabetes well. Pump supplies fall under Medicare Part B, Durable Medical Equipment. You can go to the site to see which vendors are approved by Medicare in your area to provide these supplies. I get my pump supplies from CCS Medical and I live in Florida. Different area have different Medicare approved contractors and that may change from year-to-year. I used to get my test strips from CCS Medical but they notified me some time back that they were not renewing their Medicare contract for test strips due to Medicare reimbursement practices. After that, I started getting my test strips through Walmart Pharmacy. As pumpers, it would behoove us to lay in a back-up supply of the items we need to stay alive.

Hi Lou,
Thanks for the support, and I just received a call from my new supplier that finally my supplies are being shipped. Only one word for this kind of mistreatment to anyone on Medicare who is a pump user. Oh, I can't say that on this forum. Anyway, it is sad to think how life becomes about survival when you get older and not about love and joy etc. I've list family and friends because I have health problems and they don't have time or compassion to be associated with someone who is not healthy and rich.
