I was diagnosed with Blood sugar 2 weeks back, my fasting sugar was 214 and post meal it was at level of 363…is not it scary?
Then i went to meet doctor and dieticians, doctor suggested me for start oral medicine ( Amaryl-1 mg) and removed all rich carb foods like potato, rice, sugar, bakery items, beverages and advised regular 30 min workout in morning
I been following above these for 2 weeks and today my fasting level was at 99, 5 days back it was 122. Shall i stop medicine or not or at least continue for next 15 days ? I will continue following diet control..also does AMARYL has any side effect?

There is always a period of time where we make changes and our body is so happy it joins right in and does great. It can last a few weeks or a few months, then suddenly we are struggling again.

Here is what I would suggest. Talk to your doctor and ask them first. If they are willing to let you go just on diet and exercise that is great. Often a 3 month trial on things can show how successful it will be. Remember, the med is part of the equation right now. Taking it away might put you back where you started.

90 days is a good time frame to work and experiment and you have only been in for two weeks, so give it some time before changing things up would be wise. You can log your results in a journal and see how it works in the long run.

If you continue to drop and start suffering from low episodes, then definitely talk to your doctor.

It sounds like you are on a great path. I hope it continues for you.
