Just passing on a few things. I have a recurrent problem on my foot: Athlete's foot usually under my pinky toes. I mentioned this to the podiatrist a while back and she told me to use mentholatum. I got the cheap version from the Dollar store and it works! I'm not sure if it's the petroleum base or the menthol/eucalyptus/camphor combination.

At pt today the therapist did something called "dry needling" Something I hadn't heard of before, but I checked it out when I got home. I don't know if it did anything yet. I'll let you know.

I'm sure y'all probably know about this one already. The last 2 tubs of spreadable butter that I bought spoiled very quickly, so I made my own. A stick of butter, an equal amount of coconut oil(according to the site I checked, you can use whatever oil you want) and I just used my mixer to beat it smooth. Worked great. Now, what can I do with cream cheese?

What are your best kitchen hacks?

I have made my own butter, and while kind of fun, it's a lot of work. But you do get buttermilk to use in other places.

My favorite kitchen hack is tub-o-salad. I make ahead a huge bowl of salad minus the wet things like tomatoes or cucumbers. I keep it in the fridge so I can just toss it into a container, add a few tomatoes or other toppings and it's ready to go to work. Love it.

Interesting about using mentholatum for Athlete's Foot. I have an issue with a little bit of fungus growth under the nail of my big toe. I wonder if it would work on that too. What is "dry needling"?

I have used your recipe for spreadable butter for several years now. I use a stick of butter with Olive Oil. Another of my favorites, especially this time of year is hot chocolate. In a small container I mix cocoa powder with a number of Stevia packets (to taste). Then I heat a mug of Almond Milk and stir in a spoonful or two of the cocoa mix. Yum. It also tastes good added to coffee.

I'm going to try your cocoa mix. I miss a good cup of hot chocolate, especially on days like today

It is a combination of Camphor and Menthol in a Petroleum base. Back when I was a kid. Watkins Company sold it and my mom used to make it.rub on our chest if we had chest and all around our nose when we had head colds and she also melted it in a bowl and put a towel over our heads so we could breath in the steam. It is almost the same as Vicks Vapo Rub.

When i use to buy butter and it was on sale, I would buy several pounds and freeze it. Put the spreadable butter in the fridge. I have never had it spoil on me.

My Mom used Camphor oil. She would rub it on my neck and then wrap a clean rag around it. When I played outside too late and got the"croup".
I wish butter would go on sale here, but I don't think I've ever seen it on sale here. I think it runs about $3.28 a pound for the house brands.

I don't buy it as much as I use to when I was baking. I now buy it when I see our supermarket have it on sale 2 for $5.00 and put it in the freezer. If I am totally out I buy it at Wal-Mart because they have the best price.

There is a farmer at the Farmers Market that has whipped butter I would get a pound from them now it is $6.00 a lb. I get it from the Amish Market when I go and buy it and put it in the freezer.
