Loss of feeling

Although I have pain in my feet, I am more irritated by the lack of feeling. Sometimes I can hardly feel my feet. It makes walking seem disoriented at times. I can't feel when my feet hit the floor. I take Lyrica for neuropathy and it is OK but it's the loss of feeling that bothers me more. Anyone who has this problem and what have you done to rectify it?

3 1/2 years ago I was diagnosed with "severe sensory and motor neuropathy of the lower extremities"
Unfortunately, they can offer some help for the pain but nothing for restoring feeling (or motor control). I have been on a continual downward progression despite tight blood glucose control, exercise and a variety of "natural supplements". At this point, I've accepted my fate and just trying to do the best I can.
I do use a "trekking pole" in order to keep from falling when I walk (which is limited to maybe 50 yards at a time these days).
seldom (if ever) do we get a chance for a "do over"
but every single day we get a chance for a "do better"
