Something exciting is happening here. I am seeing some familiar faces pop in that I have not seen in a very long time. Some for years! I am so excited to see you guys here, sharing and filling us in on all the things you have been doing. I have missed you. I hope you stick around. All the different view points are what make our site so different, so exciting and so helpful.

I just wanted to say Welcome Home!

Sorry I have not been on for sometime. Confused at the moment and don't know whether I am listened to by the doctor or what. Maybe in 3 months we can accomplish something. Hope to. Glad all are doing well and in good health.

Hey Gabby! It's always nice to see more members resurfacing after time away. I totally agree. It seems like the world always gets back to business as the summer days fade away. As much as I am sad to see the summer end, it is good to see the pace of life picking up. And I totally agree, great to connect with familiar faces, and to meet some new ones too!

I've said it before, but this site was my lifeline when I was first dxd. It took me a long time to find a diabetes education class near me, so most of what I learned came from all of you here. You got me through those first 6 mos or so with all your support and advice. I miss all the more experienced members too, and when I don't see a post from one of our regulars for a while, I worry about them. I guess that's life though, people come, people go.

It would be nice to see more participation from other members. This is so far the best site for diabetics I have found, but if you look at those of us who post and comment one would think there was only about a dozen members. I have yet to see anything on here that wasn't diabetes related in some way..

When I first joined there was a lot of participation and it was a really nice group of people. Then a few new people came and started arguments because they didn't get responses they wanted to hear. A lot of us stopped coming. Some never came back.

To break the day to day monotony, there was always fun questions asked or someone would ask what books members were reading or what music we were listening to. These were the people who didn't live and breath diabetic information 24/7. I don't participate and basically only respond to my friends. I have better things to do than read the same questions day after day.

I have no problem with books and music…I have a HUGE problem with peoples political affiliations being exalted and others lambasted…I do not expect to be here long as certain people have a great deal of difficulty understanding this is a diabetes forum…if the politics revolves around health care fine…give your opinion..but dont belittle me for mine…we have an entire world wide web for people to do that carp…I dont come HERE for that..

Hello Jibber, good to "see " you again. I don't post here often for two reasons. One is time ( i work 7 days a week in a family business ) and it had reached a point where i stopped logging in because of the attitude of some members when you offered an opinion/suggestion and it was not what they wanted to hear you were lambasted. The site changed from the short time i joined. On a positive note there are a lot of members i can learn from, who motivate me and who i quite enjoy "interacting " with. Hope you hang around.

You are a sweety pie…always have been..this site is the best of the best when it comes to diabetes information and support…yet it is only a fraction of what it could be…God willing we will pull it together..there is so much false information out there…people need to hear from people successful at dealing with their diabetes…and start interacting with them because the vast majority of doctors are perfectly happy "managing "us to our graves..

I have learned so much from the people on this website. Being here has been life changing and I expect to be here a lot more now that life has calmed down for me. I hope I can be as helpful to others as they have been to me.

how long I stick around depends on how long the topics stay diabetes related…and dont swing to far out of bounds…the internet has support groups for everything…dont need to put carp ( yeah I know) here..
