I'm going to toot my own horn here for a moment…As some of you know I was diagnosed last year at this time and was informed that I must be a Type 1 because I was in DKA. (Moron Doctor). I had an A1c of 10.7 and was admitted into the ICU.

I was released from the hospital on Apidra and Lantus. I was taking 4 shots a day and checking my blood sugar ALL the time…

I have been able to get my A1c down to 6.4 and was switched to Metformin last week, by a new and wonderful Doctor.

I'm still getting used to the idea that I can't eat whatever and then Bolus for it, but being on Metformin was a goal I had from the beginning…

I have since figured out that I must be a Type 2 or the Metformin wouldn't be working for me.

Just wanted to say that if I can do it, then everyone else can toooooooo

Cool. I did the opposite and am much happier than being on oral medication.

I've heard some people prefer insulin over metformin. I know one thing Inulin saved my life at one point in time, and I'm grateful for it. On the other hand I wasn't liking having to have all the needles in my house…

Glad your doing good!!!!
