I have been doing some research into Black seed oil and it sounds like something amazing. This is something physicians have used for over 3,000 years and it helps or cures just about anything except death. The pharaoh's of Egypt used this, it is mentioned in the Bible and the new test and lab results are astonishing. Medical scientist are now looking into what makes it so effective. I was so liking what I had found out about it so much that I put in an order for the jell tabs, from the reviews there was great results but the people who bought it in just oil form said it taste terrible. That is why I got the jell tabs, I think 100 in a jar. Just wondering if any of our group had taken or tried it. Here is one of many links, although this one want to sell you his. I didn't buy his but he had an article that mostly covered the subject. It said it can help both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetics, I am looking that this may help decrease the insulin I currently take. Here is the link, tell me about your thoughts ?

When some people find that it helps and others do not, it often can be like meds in that for some it is effective. To get better insight people should post the amount they take the potency found on the bottle how long it has been being taken and even a brand. Some are cold pressed some have heat used during processing. All of these variables make a difference in studies also. It would be nice to see the averages.

I tried it for the first time last night and this morning I'm amazed that my blood sugar was 83. I was running very high (12-190!) Since it's only the first day after using it, II realize my response is premature, but the only thing I did differently was take the BSO in gel form and 83 is a miracle for me! I'll keep posting the results as I go along. It's looking very promising. I might have to educate my Endo!

That is most interesting. I'm for anything that might help us in our battle with this disease. Supplements are hit and miss in effectiveness but I usually try something a few months to see if it works. I believe they are just like the prescription meds, what works for one person may not for another. Anything to keep the prescription pushers at bay, I would try.
A good post topic would be what supplements we have tried for various issues concerning diabetes. I would trust info from the folks on here before anywhere else.

That would be a great topic for our group, many of us have tried many different things just to see how they affect us and our diabetes. Some of those do have some success but others do not. We need a pro's and con's supplement page where the group can chime in on their experiences.

the issue in trying to evaluate the effectiveness of supplements (or indeed any treatment) is that we tend to try more than one thing at a time.
have often seen "this works" claims for, say cinnamon for example, by people who have also recently related weight loss and decreased carbs in the past month, so …
only supplement I currently take for blood glucose control is berberine … is it working? I'll let you know after my next A1c

I have never heard of that one.

Hey Steve, this has really been working great. 4 days taking Black seed oil now and every day I have gotten better. I can't believe the difference it has made in my stomach and bowel, my arthritis pain and my mobility. I even feel like I am thinking more clear than I was before, of course that may be because I am resting better than before. My glucose has been great have been 83 already a couple of these mornings, was running around 101 fasting blood glucose. I even got my cousin who also is disabled to take it and the first day he felt better. Tomorrow will be day 5 for me and I can't wait to see how my cousin feels tomorrow morning. My wife was impressed with the way I was getting around and she took a dose this morning as well. This one I think is a keeper, there surely is something to this age old natural seed. It is no wonder it has been used for thousands of years by physicians. King Tut was buried with this in his tomb, I guess in case he had trouble in his other world. You said to let you know, well there it is. This took a lot shorter time than I thought it would even if it worked. How come we hadn't heard of this before ?

I looked it up. It does sound very promising. You'll have to let us know how it does.

I am not expecting to get it until after the 13th of this month but I will be sure to let the group know if it is working.

I had never seen that before. I use black sesame seeds in my seed crackers, but it a very small amount in relation to the other seeds. I know that black pepper oil is an "enhancer" of sorts for other foods or oils it is consumed with. Onion and cumin are known to be anti-inflammatory, so it sounds plausible. What kind of price tag comes with it?

Did you check out the links or google it ?
If you order , I suggest the Oil Softgels because people say it has a horrible taste in the oil form. It may not be that tasty in the seed for either. Sounded so good I am willing to try it. I also have rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis and they pulled me off the anti inflammatories because they were harming my kidneys and liver. This seemed to have very little side effects although it reduces inflammation through our immune system. It also helped people who were diabetic to reduce or get off medications. Looks like a win, win to me, that is why I asked if anyone knew about this.

I tread lightly with anything "Dr." Axe is pedaling
however, there is some science behind some of the claims though what I saw not so much on the diabetes front … but, as the chances of side effects are slight … go for it

Thanks Steve: I knew I could count on a honest answer from you. The main side effect was to pregnant women, and I don't think I would qualify for that. LOL

I've come 180 on this due to my frustrations with neuropathy. the days I cannot walk are starting to outnumber the days I can.
having trouble dealing with continual diminishing quality of life.
although all the supplements I'm taking aren't helping either, you know I'm going to go down fighting
