I was wondering about this meter, already I have had 4 strips that did not work,I am a litle iffy about some of the results. I was using the freestyle light, but stips are too much. Thanks…Darlene

you might want to make sure you have a big enough blood sample for your meter to work.
Good luck,
Remember, the renewable part of your meter is the strips so that is what costs the most.
Dont waste them.
I hate it when a get a missed reading because I didnt have a big enough sample.

Thank you all for your information. It also says an E1 error is because it is not the right temperature? I had that happen. I got a good reading of 98 this AM. Didn't test again until after supper, was 209…I just hope I get to see this new Doctor soon. He will have to diagnose me,then I can get the supplies I need through my insurance. I need to get going on watching what I eat, I was just eating what I thought was OK because I didn't think I had diabetes…I also find that sometimes after I eat I feel so tired, eyes closing, just comes on during day also.

I use the TrueTrac and TrueRead products and I have not had any trouble. It takes more blood than your Freestyle, so that might be the trouble. I take mine with me to the doctor and compare it to his readings and it has always been within a couple of points, so I don't have any trouble with mine.
I hear you on the test strips, they are the least expensive and I get mine on Ebay.
