Hi Everyone, I am one of many who have to eat alone and that is most difficult but then I have my t2 and IBS to think of. I get sick almost after every meal.
I was just thinking it might be fun for us to create a meal together then eat it together. What do you think? I invite all my friends and anyone else who wants to join. You do not have to be an alone eater. What meal shall we create?

Hey, Ginger, I must have some FRENCH in me too! ha One thing about this post, it approaches a sensible diet plan from a fun way!!! I find that makes it easier to accept our limitations, just laugh and go with the flow! That doesn't mean that Diabetis isn't a serious subject or disease, BUT I cried enough tears in my younger life, so tis time to HAHA__Pat Roth

I had two really great meals today! Lunch I went wit a friend to a little sandwich shop. I had a shredded turkey on wheat with brie, lettuce and an apricot spread. My side was chopped tomato and cucumber salad with olive oil, vinegar, garlic, salt and pepper dressing.

For dinner sushi (California rolls) with a little soup! Life was good today!

Sounds good—I had 2 T of Salmon, one tomato from our garden, one slice of onion, slice of whole wheat toast, 2 T of peas, and a large glass of water. Then I had 3 slices of bread sticks with cheese and sauce, at the Pizza Hut—this afternoon at 3pm —checked my BS 2 hrs later and it was 138, so think I can eat one of my favorites once in a great while! I then had a glass of Crystal Light this eve and it was too much, filling, but didn't affect my BS, I just don't crave sweet stuff like I always had before —-PR

Isn't it nice to find out one of your favorites is still in reach with moderation?

Makes me feel more human…

Yow, not such a party pooper!! Some still do NOT want to believe that I should really watch the goodies at our club meetings, but I have learned to ignore them, partly from the self confidence that I have developed following this site. I feel now that I KNOW what COULD happen, I am taking charge of my life again, been in "the boonies" and not many even cared, so I have NO plans of returning!! ha— Call me stubborn, OR wise! I also figured out that when I know I can have a small amount of something I thought was forbidden…I don't really want it as much.

Yow—aren't humans funny??!! I used to crave choc milk shakes, but only got one every month or two. Then I was dx and CRAVED THEM FREQUENTLY , Finally ate one, sent my BS up, but not TOO badly, but now I am over that craving—-glad that it works that way, sometimes!!! PR

Sounds good. Another great pita sandwich is fresh cucumbers, fresh tomatoes, lots of alfalfa sprouts and a couple of avacado slices. Crush a little garlic and mix with either lite mayo or plain yogurt and spread on pita.
It's summertime on a pita.

Everyone is bringing such wonderful things! I just see that we have very little to drink so I will BRING:
25 big bottles of diet pop including the rare ones all on a bucket of ice. I will also bring some reg. and decaf. coffee with the fixens such as non fat milk and artifical sweetners ( a variety). and I saw some tea back there so that's good to go. And we have some bottled water.
Let's take a moment to look at what we have and feel appreciative, as so many others have none…you can take time to privately thank the Lord if you want, of course…or who ever your Higher Power is.
Ready to eat?

Now Turtle, you may ask the Blessing, then we can all dig in and have a Happy unbirthday party!!
Love and hugs to all, Pat ROth
