How many people have trouble with their sugar dropping while out in the sun or heat? I've always had this problem even tho i will eat a snack.Sometimes I get busy doing things outside and forget that the sun zaps my blood sugars. Then of course you get confused, shake etc. I'm just curious if I'm the only…not so bright one about the heat and sun.

I have this same problem, but it is when I have not had enough protein and lots of water. This what the paramedics told me when they had to come to my home last week. I hope this helps! But also ck with your doctor. Take care!

I had never had that experience until yesterday and now I plan to research it farther. If I find anything I will post it.

You're not alone. Mine drop's quickly when I get out mowing and too hot. I've learned to keep my cooler in the back of the truck with water and a snack in in a ziplock for when I do. Can tell when mine starts dropping too fast when I start getting the shakes and make myself stop for a while till I get back to normal. The first time it happened it about scared me to death, I couldn't hardly hold my meter to check it out. So, I try and pace myself now and not be oblivious to the fact that I just can't do it all at one time.

I have this problem very badly but I have always had heat issues. I just don't go out except in the early morning or late evening. I was pulling weeds the other day and passed flat out. I came to and crawled to the porch. That was the last time I work in the heat of the day.
