In Octoer of 2008, I went Trick or Treating with my childern. Got home, went to bed. Got up the next day checking my feet, found a knot on the bottom of my foot. No trama or injurie. Went to the emergecy room xrays were taken found out that the bones in my foot have deterated. So far no change, Doctor ordered diabetic shoes and insoles.

I have also just realized that the last month of my toes being numb is part of the diabetes. Then the foot pain started and leg cramps. I live in Hawaii and I am always barefoot. But, I watch my feet. I get regular pedicures and I see an acupuncturist every 2 weeks, I was told to massage my feet with mint oil. Helps with circulation. Exercise is a must. Good luck to both of us!

How are your feet now? I know I walk around the house barefoot and really shouldn't but your discussion reminds us to take good care of our feet.
