I want to thank you all for my replies recently,it really helped alot. I am so anxious about the blood levels yet do not have an answer. I will be getting a new Doctor, but,it will take at least a month. As was stated, my 1st random blood glucose level was only 57,fasting level 6 days later was 106. Saw my Doctor on monday, glucose was 166,she said nothing is wrong because of the A1C only being at 5.7…I am now without a doctor to tell me if I am pre diabetic or diabetic. Also have cholesterol level of (315) and an ongoing UTI or kidney infection. I will not be able to get another Doctor until next month…this is so frustrating.

Thank you all for your help

please look at first discussion and last reply on it, this will tell you the whole story..I am sorry. Just confused.

Oh, those tricky BS!! Fortunately the DR told me that I was diabetic, I said "no" I am just borderline, had been for over 50 yrs. BUT my second knee replacement sent me up higher, just 171` but my DR seemed impressed! Whatever, I was just coming out from under the anesthetic and was in no mood to hear that! In their second breath, they also said,"Oh, you also have a hernia (probably from lifting and tugging on patients for 40 years—-) 3 years later, I am coming around, none too sweetly—-but am adjusting to a better habit of eating—don't give it much thought now—-and am beginnig to get enthused about actually losing weight, 27 # in the past few months of snorting and stewing around! No one will ever be able to acuse me of living life, graciously!!hah—Good night! PR

When you walk into the office, have a list of questions to ask. Dont make it a long list. Just ask those questions that you are in need to know. In other words, the doc shouldnt mind answering a few questions, but might take it wrong to see a list 40 questions long.
Make the questions realevant. To the point and allow dr to give short answer if needed as long as they answer your questions. Good luck.

I hope all turns out well for you. I will be thinking of you. Let us know how things turn out. I also know how frustrating it can be, the uncertainity of it all.
