My husband is now off insulin, again. His pancreas was never, ever tested. To me,that is strange. He has been taking insulin since 1995. He takes his sugar twice a day,and he watches what he eats. I had made many diet changes for him,and they worked! More salads, and meat substitutions have done the trick. He had lost weight,(250 pounds). The doctors are spell bound. When he was first diagnosed, his sugar was over 1,000. This was amazing to those doctors who had treated him in the hospital. He was still conscious, and they could not understand why. This is God. This is who God is.
I had learned one thing as being the spouse of a diabetic. There is a God,and as long as there is God,you live to see another day. My husband almost died more than four times, because of diabetic complications, through the years. But, he is resilent, and he is wiling to fight for his life, and for making sure that he can say "I am a fighter, and not a victim to a disease that can take me out of this life, piece by piece. Life is too short to allow yourself to be a victim. Finally,
make sure that you have your pancreas tested, and always,be sure to get a second opinion. Sincerely,Ivy43
