Iheard on the TV program "Doctors", that using small amounts of sugar is healthier than artificial sweetners because they all trigger the brain to want people to eat more. These are real doctors but they do not speak for my doctor. I seldom add sugar to anything and of course watch labels. I know some sweetners can do this but the one I use does not seem to bother me.

Hmm, sugar vs artifical? I am just now giving in and buying sugar free products, was mad and ate what I wanted, at first, then gradually ate the usual, only smaller amounts and finally am convinced, since my BS are stubborn without my Meformin—to start thinking of actually cooking or using on the table, substitues, Am currently using just what I have picked up cafes, etc.

I have discovered another drink,Ocean-Spry Cranberry-with green tea which with ice, satisfies that particular craving and doesn't seem to affect my BS. But it does say that it contains Sugar 12g, carbohydrates-4% Are these food figures? I now care to ask! Thanks to all for your wonderful suggestions!! PR

I use splenda in everything that needs sweetning. It never
incresed my appetite and has no after taste. I also get the diet green tea (caff free) and it is taste really good. you just have to read labels. Dan

Well, part of my newly formed GOOD habits, buy some Splenda. instead of picking up FREEBIES at cafes— And does Green Tea really taste good by itself? It does taste OK with the cranberry juice, but who could taste anything over the cranberry?! ha—PR
