I am having pain in one side of my body. The numbness and pain are in my left foot and sometimes leg. Does anyone understand the problem I am having? I try so hard to move my foot and leg so that it gets better. No help from doctors,thats for sure. I wonder if there is treatment,exercises or something that can help me.Let me know.Please!

I agree that it sure sounds like neuropathy…ask your doctor to give you a Nerve Conductive Test…this will be a way off telling for sure! Good luck! And then MAYBE you could get some kind of medication that'll help you with this pain…I am on Lyrica and oh my…it does really help…not fully cuz I have had this for many, many years and so forth BUT…without it I am a mess! I will be seeing my doctor this month and will ask him about the test.I think my problem started with the shingles that occurred on my left foot. I thank you for the information.

yes im on lyica & 1 tylinol x strengh 3 times daily & it helps me quite a bit without it i would be miseribale

Just wanted to add that the EMG (nerve study tests) are not always conclusive because of the size of the nerves involved, but that doesn't mean that you don't have neuropathy. I suffer from neuropathy first because of a spinal injury which secondly becomes aggravated even further by my diabetes. I take Lyrica 4 times a day and althought it does help, it does not cure it completely. Walking, when I can, does seem to help some. Also, keeping your numbers in line is more helpful. Good luck.

I can understand very well I have been through this.
Try soaking a few almonds, cashews and raisins about 2 tsp. Have them regularly. Eat one time salads but inbetween cooked meals with a gap of about 2-3 hrs as they are processed differently by our body i.e.8:00 a.m. breakfast
10:30 a big salad with cashew and almond dressing I will send in the recipe too. Before having dinner 4:00 have a glass full of water 1large bowl of celery or broccolli or baby spinach 8:00p.m. dinner light
Daibeties isa emotionally disturbed state of mind and we keep on doing something to please ourselves even eat if we eat healthy that's the best so that we are not further aggravating.Walk as much as possible PUT YOUR GOALS ON THE BEDSIDE!
