take your time till ya get the glasses. I need new ones myself but been waiting on my rent rebate check to get them. This is something as being diabetic we need to take good care of. My father ended up blind last 10 yrs of his life. after he became blind he use to joke with us kids saying even though we had a 1 in 4 chances of having cadarac problems also, so we didn't have to worry, as he only had 3 kids. Hello, Please try to be in control of your blood sugars when you go get your glasses. If not, the prescription might not be right. My eye doctor knows I am diabetic and wont do an exam unless I am under control and tell her what my last A1C and that mornings BS readings. No use in getting tested and then having to get your eyes tested again a month later.
Good luck.
I too am new to glasses.

any questions regarding eyeglasses allow me to answer any questions?
fyi:all lenses are not the same, all technology is not the same,we offer
only digital lenses, digital technology, our lenses come with Crizal alize
no glare & uv protection w/o it you will experience glare, starbursts
which are worse for your eyes, digital allows more accuracy, thinner,
lighter weight, you will not receive this from 80% of competitors in
the U.S. today, however we do not cut any corners its about doing
it right the first time and pleasing the patient.21yrs in business

Amen to this advice! I learned this the hard way in the very first year that I was diagnosed with diabetes. I went for an eye exam when I was in denial concerning my diabetes during my first year of having it and two months later, my new glasses were worthless. I can even now remember the eye doctor asking me not one but several times if my diabetes was under control. Of course, being in denial, I lied and said yes. It wasn't a day after I had the eye exam that I finally decided to eat right and get my blood sugar under control. My vision improved and those glasses no longer worked for me. It cost me another 150.00 to get another new pair.

Of course this is my finance so I know how much trouble he has been having. He finally has the prescription for the eyeglasses but we have to go to get it filled now and after that it'll bee a week or two most likely. He just didn't want to seem rude to anyone one here so he wrote this. Gotta love him! *HugS* Sheila

Hi Ty!

Please don't worry. We all understand. You need to take care of yourself. Straining your eyes won't do anyone any good. So take care and we hope to hear from you soon.

We certainly understand. Do your best to be on-line as much as possible. When you glasses, I'm sure that will be a big help and we will see you alot more. Good luck!
