This lady from New Zealand is said to be the longest female survivor of type 1 in the world. She is 86, and has lived 80 years with type 1.

There is a lady named Shoshana in another diabetes support group who completes her 79'th years of T1 this year. Maybe she is the runner up in this female longest lives with T1.

OMG I LOVE HER!!!…The way she laughs when she talks about living so long…I saw my grandmother in the twinkle in her eyes…and remember my own nanna saying the same thing with a smile on her face…"I still here!!"…I think it MUST be at least partly her sense of humor and her love of life…we partly determine our own destiny by our attitude…One can give up and succumb..or one can love life and truck on one day at a time…EVERY diabetic..needs to watch this…

I love her bubbly attitude about things and she looks great for anyone of her age! Kudos to her!
