quite proud of my stability, Dr called w results from last Friday blood work, dam they were quick, a1c holding steady @ 5.7. Now if i could just get my afternoon basal rates adjusted to new job, i would be happy dancing. Dr adjusted a few but now my post lunch readings have been higher than i like. Back to the drawing board. :-)

Hi Kim,
Congratulations on your A1C. Are you still on medication for. Diabetics
or not??? I know when I reached a certain level, the Dr. weaned me off of insulin and pills. I had a 2 week grace period. If it ( my A1C) had gone up it would have put me. Back on medication. It didn't and I'm
Insulin free. Pill free as well.

Thanx. I haven't until recently due to life change, working again. The only problem I've had is right before going home. New Dr and i are working on my basal rates. Did some adjustments and have to fine tune now.

I'm learning to use the temporary basal feature more often when I'm either high or low. At 9:30am yesterday, my BG was 91 (after my normal breakfast at 7 am). What I did was set my basal at 50% for one hour and by lunchtime, I was at 112. By doing that, I avoided a low that would have caused me to take a fast-acting glucose sometime before lunch. I love the flexibility pumping gives us!
