Since taking this product called Cinsulin, my BS numbers have literally plummeted . I have had such excellent readings I am tripping over myself with joy. Yet my Doc told me I should continue to use the insulin because that is the only true treatment for diabetes. Well as I mentioned before, I did just that and almost passed out one morning because my sugar was so low.

Now my question is, would my meter be lying? And could it be that the Cinsulin is masking the true situation of my levels? People don't seem to believe that I have literally come off the insulin since I started taking this natural product. To test it even further, I have cut back on the tablets and will be watching the results of that too. I just did that today, so I will give myself some time and keep checking.

Now I have been reading that cinnamon also has some negative side effects in that it can damage your liver if taken over a prolonged period.. So what..isnt metformin and all the other tablets doing the same damage overtime to your liver and even Kidney???? And I have known and heard of several people who were taken off insulin after a while .I don't believe my meter is fooling me and I don't buy it that my pancreas isn't making insulin. I am monitoring and checking my levels to see what is happening in my body…

How long since you have been diagnosed?
What are your fasting readings? your postprandial?
Are you currently taking any other supllements?
I find this interesting as I was a heavy cinnamon user for over 2 years and never really noticed an appreciable effect on my BGL.

My fasting numbers (in the mornings)nare really low so I think I need to even cut back on taking the tab in the evenings. This after I ate carbs last nite. When i was on the insulin, I could not eat carbs so late and not expect a high reading in the morning. Yep…no insulin and still dropping.

If what you are doing without the aid of medicine is working, then more power to you! I would talk to your doctor again and maybe try to explain that you had been not using your insulin. If its causing dangerous lows to combine the two for you, I say reduce the insulin. Having too much insulin in your blood is as bad as having too much sugar. (something I just learned from the diabetes summit)

Insulin is not the only treatment. Your doctor needs a little education.

I use cinnamon everyday…I take it in supplement form mixed with chromium…I also put it in my shakes and sprinkle in on food and make flavored coffees with it..I have NEVER read anything but good things in regard to its effects on BG…AND I find it disturbing that your doctor is telling you that insulin is the ONLY treatment for diabetes…We all know that all type 1s must take some amount of insulin…but types twos have had great success using diet and lifestyle changes to keep their diabetes under control..I don't know your exact situation so I cant tell you if you need insulin or not… but I am troubled by your doctor's closed mind…as for cinnamon being dangerous long term…I don't know if that is true I will have to research it…however overkill on anything is no good..so just don't go crazy…What I do know is that insulin use isn't without its own side effects..using it causes weight gain in many people…which makes you require more insulin which makes you gain more weight…and so on…and being overweight comes with its own set of health risks…SOOOOOO…at the end of the day you have to do your own research about the various treatments and weigh the pluses and minuses of all of them…it is YOUR health…sorry for the long rant…
