my daughter was making fun of his accent at times, but at least it got her to listening. after all, most of that is good info,. for anyone and she was really listening. I worry she is at high risk because she is a little overweight and really does not eat hardly any vegetables, and hates exercise!! at least she isn't too much overweight, but still, I worry.

I managed to watch him this morning. He is awesome. I can't wait to hear more from him. The World Diabetes Conference is packed with info. Some of it seems a bit off (such as one speaker saying that exercise is not important) but most of it is good and useful. I wish our doctors and dietitians would catch up. I am so glad you turned me on to this. Just what I needed. I think I am getting some good info to help with the Dawn Phenomenon also. Can't wait for tomorrow's speakers!

Light bulb!

I have never heard of an insulin index and how foods trigger that without triggering the glucose or glycemic index. I am really, REALLY excited now. I am going to check out his website www.intensivedietarymanagement.com and get some plans in place. I have not been this excited about working on my diabetes since I was first diagnosed. I think he has put together all the loose information I have gathered over the years and put it into one concise plan.

I had not either Gabby and like I said I learn something new every year. I found it very interesting.

good stuff isn't it?
Listening to Dr. Fung and following his blog are part of why I started intermittent fasting. What he says makes a lot of sense.

Do I just do a youtube search for Dr. Jason Fung?
Hope to locate this video & give it a watch when I get home later tonight.

I was off today so I got to watch Suzy Cohen, Craig Ballantine and some other man, not sure of his name. I will try to get to this one too. I posted all kinds of things and the names of everyone when I attended every day of the summit two years ago.

they really are good and even someone like me, who was diagnosed in 2008 and attended classes, there is alwys something new to learn, though I admit, I know almost all of it, but every year, I get excited about it.

Jason Fung is one of my "Diabetic Gurus"
Only complaint about the presentation is that it was too short and didn't get into intermittent fasting.

agreed…I wish he would of spoken about it more…some people I have found are turned off by him because he uses the word cured…but to me when he uses that word he is talking about restoring beta cell function by defatting the liver and pancreas..which is not an overnight process…could take years to get beta cells operating again..
