Well it is over…just took my two hour post dinner BG…all in all we compiled enough to make a great science project…and my BG didn't spike nearly as much as I thought it would…
My fasting BG was 87…and my daughter's was 73..
Breakfast was 1/2 cup of oatmeal (made with whole milk) with 1/2 small banana and a cup of plain greek yogurt…my BG went up to 137…my daughter went up to 91
Lunch was turkey and swiss with lettuce, tomatoes and mayo on two pieces of whole wheat bread and a glass of whole milk..
At the start of the meal I was 115…2 hours post I was 173
My daughter was 76 and went up to 94
Dinner was 6 oz of chicken breast, a sweet potato (because my grandson loves me) and Brussels sprouts with butter..
I started at 119…two hours later I was 167
My daughter started at 74 and went up to 90
I am convinced I didn't hit 180 because I have been on a keto diet for mos and my insulin resistance has improved…these same food use to spike me much more…tomorrow is my first fast day…kind of to say I am sorry to my body for today…
