I am on a insulin pump, my sugar is at 580, i gave myself 10 units (novalog) its been a hour and no change, so i want to straight inject with a normal needle, are the units the same?

How long have been on pump? If my sugar was 580 I would put 580 in the pump and activate it.If it doesn't bolus that means you have already done it, then you wait for it to work.I have been on the pump for 25 years.

Knighttt65,
Units are the same. Just curious, why are you switching to injections so quickly? Is this something that happens often?

if you know what your ICR and ISF numbers are you can use that to determine how much to give yourself. Hope you get it figured out
