How much do you want to lose? What have you tried to lose weight? What are you currently eating? You can't leave a post like this and expect us to know how to help you. Everyone can lose weight. I suggest not finding a "diet" but find an eating plan that you can live the rest of your life with. Diets are meant and designed to go on and off, and when you go off them you usually gain weight back. Low carb is usually the way most people with diabetes find the safest and best bet to lose weight and keep their blood sugar under control. Help us to help you.

Howdy Berry

As others have asked, what have you tried to lose the weight? I note in the tags you have written "body by Banks". Is that one of the meal and exercise plans you are trying or have tried?

Everyone else has told you that you CAN lose weight and I agree to a point. However, as one loses fat often as one exercises they can put on muscle which weighs about the same. What tells the tale (at least it did with me) is how one's clothing fits. When my skinny jeans started fitting loose on me, I knew I had lost fat, even though my scale needle didn't budge.

How much are you trying to lose?

I lost mine as a by-product when I started a low carbohydrate, high protein meal plan. I also was able to stop the use of the twice daily NPH insulin injections while keeping my BG (blood glucose) levels in the vicinity of 80 to 130 mg/dl and achieved an A1c of 5.5% and eventually lost 65lbs over the course of 5 mo.

I had written my meal plan as others have suggested I do this, and it is available to any who ask for it.

God's best to you and yours

yes everyone can lose weight — I am disabled with chronic crippling arthritis and I have lost 50 lbs since last April — yes slowly — been on a plateau since October but that is emotional — Lost my beloved Chihuahua - she was sick a long time — but anyway — I can't exercise like most - except in the water which I love — but I didn't even do that — so it is possible — I count carbs mostly — but like I say you have to find what works for you — there are many many ways — it does take some research and a good doctor — good luck to all

how are you attempting to lose weight? there is a variety of "diets" out there … no doubt in my mind one is right for you.
