Well sir— am glad to hear this— I have seen some articles lately that coffee isn't so bad after all — then they say: NO don't do it — LOL - so I decided I love my coffee and esp the lift I get from the caffeine — so I'm staying with it !! thx for the info

But now I am also reading that it interferes with the absorption of thyroid medicines. So if you are on one, you might have to adjust your meds or rethink your morning routine.

I take my thyroid med first thing in the morning and then have to wait a good hr before eating anything else. Gets me in trouble sometimes, because I get busy and forget to eat til too late.

I have a trick for that. I get up around 5:00 to feed the dogs. I do a few things, test my glucose, put away the dishes from the night before and then take my thyroid medicine. Then I go back to bed until about 6:30 or 7:00. Works perfect for me. I take the pups for their walk and then eat breakfast. Since hubby and I both take it, it was something we both could do and not miss our doses.

again I learn> I have wondered why I am so tired all the time— how ever - I do take thyroid meds - but I don't drink coffee anywhere near the same time so I guess that works for me — still tired tho

I'm glad to read I don't have to give up my coffee. I do know I should cut back i know I drink WAY too much. But regardless, at this time it is my main vice, and I'm not ready to let it go.

Hi Steve,
Well doing the happy dance. I drink 3 cups of coffee in the mornings
I love it and do not drink anymore than that. Well sometimes I sneak another one. But that's it. Now I have a very good argument for those
who have something to say adverse about my coffee. Thank you for posting
and thank you for link. Hugs. VL

I always knew coffee was a health food…I just thought it provided the health benefits to the people around me…as it has on many occasions been the only thing that has stopped me from choking people..

This will make my hubby very happy. The study did not distinguish between caffeinated or decaf coffee. I am extremely caffeine sensitive so I have to drink decaf. It would be interesting to see more studies on this. They tend to go back and forth about coffee. My husband absolutely loves it and will never give it up, no matter what they say about it.
