I had something weird happen to me yesterday. I had a sore throat, had a bad taste in my mouth, my body felt weak, I did take anti acids though, but I went ahead and slept. I also had sinking spells twice when I was on the bed trying to sleep. It wasn't the food I ate, or my blood sugar. It was 136, and the food I ate was a cheese tortellini. When I woke up, I kinda got dizzy.

How are you guys doing? Any snow in your area? We had ice last week, and now we have snow this week! Yuppie! I am very happy about that! I have been wanting snow since Winter came. My cat got to see snow for the first time yesterday. That's when we got snow.

Next Tuesday, I am going to have my A1C lab work done. I am hoping that my results will come back in the normal range. like in the 4 spot. Because I have been doing well with my sugar levels. It would be awesome if I could get rid of diabetes once in for all. I am type 2, and I have been dealing with this since five years. What would you do if you are off of your medication, and glucose meter? If the doctor says that you are free from diabetes.

Hi, You said you got dizzy… did you check your BP? Have you ever had vertigo? No snow where I live, darn it! :-) Once you've been diagnosed with Diabetes, it will never go away because there is no cure, however you can get it under control to the point that you no longer have to have insulin or oral medications. I get so tired of testing every day, 3-4 times and 2 shots every day that I just skip for a few days. But I know that's not good for me. I'll check my sugar and it's up in the 400 and 500 range. The highest it was, was 547!

God Bless you!

I don't have vertigo. I don't think…

I thought that type 2 was reversible Like if you got a normal range on your A1C level, like a 4.. then you would be off of diabetes. . My BP seemed to be fine because I take medicine for it.

You can be off meds, but you cannot go out and eat a bowl of ice cream, a slice of cake and wash it down with a root beer float. You would go through the roof...or at least I would. But you can be free from meds by eating right, exercise and keeping an eye on things. At this point in time, that is the best we can do.

Sweetie, there is no cure for diabetes. But we can get it under control and no longer have to have insulin or oral medications. With an AlC of 4, your doing GREAT!!! They can look in your ears and tell if you are getting dizzy or not. I have Vertigo and I hate it. It comes and goes. I take the generic for Antivert for my Vertigo. If you don't mind me asking, what is your age?

Sweetie, there is no cure for diabetes. Type 1, type 2 and the other one that I can't think of right off hand and it's rare. However, you can get it under control. Diet, exercise. Keeping your A1C down. A lot of people have done it and if your over weight, losing weight has a big impact on diabetes. Just try and not give up! I would send you a hug, but I haven't figured that out yet. Hugs!
