Is everyone staying warm today? After about a week and a half of really nice weather here in San Antonio, the weather has turned cold again. I did get out and walk the dog this morning, but the critters and I have been holed up all day tio stay warm. Getting lots of laundry done and stacking things up for Good Will, something that has needed doing for a long time. Today is one of those days I am glad to be retired..

it hit minus 30 with wind chill factor today about ten below without windchill. there is no keeping warm in that weather. sorry but it is just plain insufferable. miserable.

Well, I had to suffer through the weather today in central Florida. I wore jeans instead of shorts, but did not need a jacket. I also wore tennis shoes instead of my flip-flops. LOL. I really do hope you folks in bad weather stay safe and warm. I don't know how you do it.

We are iced in today. We both stayed home from work. I got our taxes done and all the laundry done. It looks like tomorrow will be an ice day as well. If so, I think I will make it a housecleaning day. Unfortunately we just ran out of firewood.

Would love to have a fireplace..My sister has a pellet stove and says it works quite well. Someday(when I win the lottery) I might get one of those fake ones just because I like the look..

My daughter lives in Oregon and frequently loses power during storms. She has a wood stove/fireplace insert and she actually cooks on it during power outages. I love having a fireplace. My hubby is kicking himself for not picking up a little more firewood. Oh well. If we lose power we have a generator.

Grew up in Maryland, can't say that I miss it that much. I do like to actually see the seasons change though. So often here we seem to skip one.LOL
