Can I be hungry? Or is it something else? I'm down 18 lbs in a month. Got 27 lbs to go for first goal. I mean I'm sick to my stomach hungry. Working out six days a week following a trainer made program. I also work on my feet twelve hours at a hospital on top of that. My BG avg below 100 and I'm on metforman 500 mg ER once a day.

you could be hungry, but you could also be just thirsty, try drinking a glass of water first and see if that helps before you eat something.

If my BS was maintained at below 100 I would be happy as a clam. But if it goes lower than that, I know it is time for a snack. 17 cashews, 2 TBSPs creamy peanut butter, celery with peanut butter or cream cheese, a protein drink, yogurt with nuts or seeds for a crunch. Just some suggestions. And not all at once. I eat three meals and three snacks per day.

You could just be hungry. When that happens to me and I am between meals I try to eat something like celery with peanut butter. It helps me with that bad stomach feeling—I know exactly what you mean.

Hi Trigger,
You could be just hungry or your BG could be trying to drop.
When this happens to me I take my BG and every 1/2 hour there after. My BG will drop for no good reason. Some of the symptoms are that "I'm so hungry", feeling. Sweats, shakes,
sometimes an overy whelming urge to sleep as well. Just to
name a few. Of course each of these come on as your BG
drops. I would talk for my dr for sure about this. Hugs, VL

So eat.
Find something high fat and high protein and very low/no carb. one of my favorites is thinly sliced ham with cream cheese and a dill pickle rolled up. Satisfying and virtually carb free. 1/2 a dill pickle 1 carb and cream cheese only 1 carb per ounce.
